About the Event

After registration, delegates will receive an email regarding details of their country and committee agenda, study guides, conference links, and an invitation to connect with their chairs and fellow delegates prior to the conference. 1-2 page position papers outlining background research on the committee’s topic and country stance will be required in order to qualify for awards. During committee, delegates will also give opening speeches and collaborate to write communiques (informal resolutions). ALL experience levels are welcome! We take care to answer all delegate questions, and we hold a Rules of Procedure session a few days before the conference to review and explain the parliamentary procedure to our delegates, accounting for all adaptations to virtual platform use.

REQUIREMENTS

1) Zoom application for smooth video and audio calling (preferably laptop or computer, phone will work also)

2) A strong internet connection.

3) Familiar with North American parliamentary procedure

4) 8th grade and above

5) And of course, interest to participate!
